Greetings Mortals,

My name is Sir Francis Varney, and I am a vampyr*

I have lived a very long life, as I am over 800 years old,

But I have slept for sometime, and recently awoke, only a couple of years ago.

Since awakening, I have found the world has changed, and I have somehow become “Friends” with a group of mortals, which is against vampyr ethics, as we are taught not to play with our food.

Since I have awoken (or awakened?), then a mortal I have come to know, a Master David Lowrie, has persuaded me to let him write some penny dreadfuls about me – or cartoons, as he calls them.

This is the first volume of my adventures, some from this time, some from times in my past.
