Description

Two dangerous men vie for the hand of Brenda of Saremes—the dread pirate El Phantasmo, and swashbuckling Lemurian flamenco bandicoot Flynn Rathbone. But disaster strikes when Brenda is abducted on her wedding night.

Meanwhile, Nego-azaiacu, God of Weird Stains and Foul Odors, has been banished from the Lesser Gods by Marzipan, Lord of the Sugar Biscuits. Now he has a plan to regain their favor, and wants to pitch it to them during a sumptuous banquet. His ghoulish minions are abducting people from Navarre to marinate in his hell-gravy, and Brenda is one of those victims. Luckily, Rathbone is a friend of Kelkor, Herculean dingo-man and star employee of Vengeance Unlimited, and surely that counts for something.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, an entire nation is on the move, led by a queen seeking asylum in Navarre. Little do they know that the land of their salvation is beset on all sides. Civil unrest seethes in the capital. Open rebellion is at hand, and an ancient evil stirs in the tunnels that honeycomb the troubled land.

Meanwhile, from above, a relentless, nameless enemy with an ancient grudge has pursued the people of Navarre from beyond the farthest star. Like locusts, they find them and devour the civilizations they’ve built and take up the chase once more, insatiable in their lust to destroy.

All will converge upon the capital city, in one week’s time, where a handful of heroes are caught between them.
