Description

In the late 1800s, life in the small English town of Hopewood is difficult for Joseph, a young boy facing relentless bullying, torment and constant struggles.

Apart from his hardworking and loving parents, his only sanctuary is the workshop of William, the local carpenter, where Joseph enjoys working with wood. But with a constant feeling of trepidation, he feels he has little choice but to leave everything and everyone behind.

Can he ever be reunited with his family and find acceptance?
