Get yourself to the book dragon and treat yourself to title's you will not find in any other book store!! Some real gems to be found covering all genres. Plenty of choice for the kids aswell perfect for an idilic shopping experience and the friendly staff are always happy to assist.

A brilliant idea! A bookshop dedicated to supporting authors who publish the work independently. Loads of quirky, clever and entertaining books you just won't find in Waterstones. Well worth an online visit, or drop in if you're in Stockton-on-Tees.

Clearly a lot of hard work has been put into both the ascetics of the shop itself and the quality and range of books they stock. in a world where it is hard to get recognition for your hard work if you are not one of the "big names", places like the Book Dragon give you a much needed platform and are there to offer advice and guidance ❤️✨️

I found this place by chance and I love it. The books are right up my street. A lot of independent authors are published here and they are fantastic. I bought 2 books angel of the crypt by c.j Laurence and the veils of valoria by Kirsty F McKay who runs the store and I couldn’t put either book down will definitely be going back for more. I can’t recommend this place enough. My new favourite place.

I’ve always been impressed with the team’s ‘can do’ attitude. They’re brimming with ideas, determined, enthusiastic, hard working and helpful. The team offers a whole range of services from ghost writing through to marketing, editing, illustrating, printing and loads more. They are also receptive to ideas that they receive from their authors and other outside influences. My business manager always keeps in regular touch so that I don’t feel forgotten.
Being an indie author can be bewildering at times - it’s great to have a team that can hold your hand when you feel that you’re floundering.

I find getting my children’s picture books into bookshops very difficult and therefore welcome the chance to stock my books with The Book Dragon. The Book Dragon provides an excellent service for authors, with dedicated departments for different aspects of publishing, editing and marketing. The author care is also great with monthly check-ins with authors on the programme. Kirsty and the team are always looking for innovative ways to promote the work of their authors.
The Book Dragon is a MUST for indie authors everywhere. Offering the opportunity to see your books on store shelves, as well as offering services such as editing, promotions, and even converting your work into audiobook format, I am very happy I decided to partner with The Book Dragon. The guys are all super-friendly, and are always available to answer questions and offer advice.
A friend told me in August 2022 about a Book Dragon shop looking for unknown small authors. I rang
and spoke to a very pleasant lady, Kirsty, who explained the support she was offering. Her
enthusiasm was great. Her positive outlook as to how she could help was inspiring. I joined her Book
Dragon family. What Kirsty and her team are achieving is amazing: the ideas, events and
programmes that are beneficial to my books reaching a wider public. I struggled on my own with
publicity trying to get my books into the public domain but now I have access to advice from one of
Kirsty’s lovely staff plus hands-on support. Kirsty put me in touch with a local printer/publisher
whom I now deal with and he is obliging, accessible and helpful. For years I have felt alone in this but

I am going on a year two-year membership with The Book Dragon book store located at 6 West Row, Stockton-On-Tees TS18 1BT, with my book "The Purple Moon", as a Writer/ Illustrator I am very pleased with their service, very positive and on-the-spot support with promoting your book!
