Elaina Moon is an author, illustrator, former primary school teacher, and a trustee of the Robert Stephenson Trust. Based in Newcastle upon Tyne, Elaina uses her extensive experience working with children and her sense of fun to create stories that capture young children's imagination and take them on an adventure. Her three daughters are the main characters for three of her book series, 'Amelia and her Time Travelling Trainers', Imogen the Dinosaur Whisperer' and 'Violet and the Magic Vault'.
Elaina's book, 'Amelia and her Time Travelling Trainers: Take a Trip to See Robert Stephenson' was written to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Stockton and Darlington Railway, the first passenger railway to use steam trains to transport passengers. The Workshop Elves and The Missing Baubles: The Mischievous Baubles -They live a double life - one of seriousness, fulfilling their life purpose, and one where they all get to have fun when nobody is looking! You can really feel their excitement, which a lot of kids have an abundance of this time of year! (Yvonne Marrs)
The Workshop Elves and The Missing Baubles: DJ Michael Bauble - After all, who doesn’t like to sing and dance to a bit of Michael Bauble every now and again, and especially at Christmas time. Besides, he sounds like he really knew how to get that party started! (Phoebe Wilby)
The Workshop Elves and The Missing Baubles: Baubles - The baubles were so adorably naughty. Imbued with the power of Christmas magic we can imagine, they come to life and wreak havoc in the workshop. But it’s all in good fun and their joy spreads to the elves eventually too. (Sophie Jupillat Posey)
The Workshop Elves and The Missing Baubles: Candy McGiggles - As well as having an incredibly fabulous name, she doesn’t like the job of having to untangle the Christmas tree lights. I can definitely relate to this! (Michelle Marshall)
The Workshop Elves and The Missing Baubles: Zippity Glitterpants - I just love the name. The characters are charming and endearing and none really stand out more than the other as the story is told as a collective e.g. the elves, the baubles… (Kirsty McKay)
Little Robin and The Delicious Gingerbread: The Robin! - I just love Robins, and this one is perfectly presented. I watch birds in our garden regularly, and this offering delighted me. Robin, as a character, works well with the storytelling aspect of the book - just as well as the flowers don’t do much, because they are planted and cannot move around because of what they are. The reader can feel Robin’s excitement about the gingerbread, and no doubt wants to taste it also. (Yvonne Marrs)
Little Robin and The Delicious Gingerbread: Little Robin - Little Robin is so excited about his gingerbread discovery that he has to tell his friends. But not only does he tell them, he also shares his goodies with them. He is the epitome of a great friend. (Phoebe Wilby)

Little Robin and The Delicious Gingerbread - Robin -Robin, he is curious, sweet and giving. An endearing character for children to be charmed by. (Kirsty McKay)
The Workshop Elves and The Missing Baubles - I love the image on Page 30, where they are all disco-ing. The wild colours amplify the fun being had in the picture. (Yvonne Marrs)
The Workshop Elves and The Missing Baubles - All the pictures delightfully illustrate Santa’s workshop and the hard work the Elves put into it, but perhaps my favourite has to be the disco scene, where the Elves peak inside and find the baubles having the Best. Disco. Ever. (Phoebe Wilby)
The Workshop Elves and The Missing Baubles - I love the picture of the elves celebrating with the baubles in the end. (Sophie Jupillat Posey)

Little Robin and The Delicious Gingerbread - Robins recollection of the lady stood behind the counter with her pretty blue and white packages. Her outfit matching and blending perfectly with her packages of gingerbread. The Workshop Elves and The Missing Baubles - Overall Rating 5 Stars. This is a sweet story about hard work, mischievous little toys who create havoc, and the need to sometimes just let your hair down and have fun. The Elves work hard, only to find their work destroyed overnight by the antics of the magic baubles. However, once they are caught out, the baubles learn a lesson in responsibility and the rewards that can come from doing your part. In the meantime, the Elves learn to let their hair down and have a ball – or a disco, perhaps! This story is educational on two levels – learning to be responsible for your own actions, and also learning to find solutions to problems, all sugar-coated in a sweet Christmas story that will be as delightful to read as it will to be read to!
