In Weave of Love we pick back up where the previous book, ‘Thread of Hope,’ left off with main protagonists Leonie and Prospero (Perry). As readers will already know, Leonie had risked her own life to save others despite the possibility of her own death from using the master power stone. Now as Perry and his friends battle to save her it is unclear whether she will survive and make a sufficient recovery or if the damage to her mind and powers is too extensive. As Perry tries to come to terms with the fact that he may lose Leonie and struggles with his guilt for the part he played, he is also forced to face his past and the family he has avoided for so long. And if that wasn’t enough, Leonie’s true heritage has also been revealed. Regardless of a recovery she still remains at serious risk from assassination. Lord Gabriel must once again intervene but will he be able to resolve an age old conflict and protect his ward?
Readers who have reached this third instalment will already be heavily invested in the characters and so will be delighted to know that this is considered another well written and engaging read. The plot moves forward at a steady pace as we come to learn more about Perry’s family and his past, and discover the full story behind Leonie’s true heritage and the threat she poses to the different Houses.
The new characters introduced are likeable and credible, particularly Perry’s family. And as in the previous books there is plenty of drama and conflict to keep readers entertained throughout. The author setting the scenes to progress the story to its conclusion, which I am very much looking forward to reading.
Its another 5 stars from me.
