Thy Neighbour’s Wife by Alexander Ferrer is part of the Icarus series. It is very much a tale for the people who revel in the lives of those involved in horrific drug and sex fuelled crimes, gun toting violence addicts and creatures who live in the Underbelly of the World. The writer has a style that makes the story go by at a hurtling break-neck pace; his characters are vividly realistic and the plot is entirely feasible. I’m sure there are lots of places where this sort of mayhem erupts in the real world, and there will definitely be an audience for this series, although I am not in it. With millions of readers around the world nowadays, there will be a cult following for this author and his work. It is very much not something that I would recommend to a general reader, far too much OTT violence for that, but if this is your preferred genre then you will want to read more!
