A well-produced book that will appeal to confident, mid/late primary age readers. With clear, easy to read font, and beautifully executed illustrations, children will be encouraged to move forward from first reads towards book with more grown-up pictures and themes.
I love the idea of the Sandwitch – that annoying little creature that gets sand into every orifice – but was a little confused at why the beginning of the story was about chickens. The author could have split and extended both the different sections of this book and created two equally good stories. A nicely executed book, with excellent grammar and punctuation to encourage the same of young readers.
I award 3 stars.
