Elizabeth Green’s The Owl who could only Growl, for readers of the specified age range (3-6 years) and beyond. Without much in the way of complexity of language and an easygoing flow to the narrative, coupled with the most excellent illustrations, this is a memorable book. Displaying an emotional depth, with core themes of understanding and making sense of our feelings, this is a title I have no hesitation in recommending.
