The Owl and the Mole By Author Peter Kay – Book Review

The Owl and the Mole by author Peter Kay is a heart-warming tale about two lonely creatures, an owl and a mole, who are ostracised by the others for being different. Life is made sweeter when Melvyn, the sympathetic badger, introduces them and they form an unlikely friendship which helps them to
embrace their differences and grow in confidence.
Not only does this enchanting story encourage readers to accept differences in others, it also educates young readers about habitats, predators and prey.

The reader will feel sympathetic towards the characters and are eager for them to find happiness, and the story engages its audience from the first. The illustrations are unique and endearing. There are some editorial issues but these can easily be addressed by the Author and would not spoil the overall reading enjoyment of the book.

I award this book 4 stars.
