Elizabeth Green has created an everlasting character in the minds of her readers in Clarence the owl. An easy to read steadily flowing narrative without much in the way of complexity of language, coupled with the most excellent illustrations, make this a very memorable book. Displaying an emotional depth, with core themes of equality and friendship, this is a title I have no hesitation in recommending.
