The Fixer: The Naked Man (A Katerina Mills Novella) By Author Jill Amy Rosenblatt – Book Review

The Naked Man written by Author Jill Rosenblatt is a great first introduction to the character of Katerina Mills. Katerina is a quick thinking, adaptable, strong & feisty female lead that readers will enjoy. I loved her sarcasm & wit during her exchanges with some of the secondary characters in the book who are also credible. As Katerina tries to resolve her financial situation, by becoming a “Fixer” for New York’s wealthy and privileged men, she finds herself in some highly entertaining and questionable situations.

The plot moves forward at a good pace keeping the reader engaged throughout. Although from a readers perspective there was a small scene within the story where Katerina and her accomplice escape from a closet that jarred. This would have benefitted from a little more detail to enable a smoother transition as I couldn’t quite visualise the how of it. Other than this minor point, which can easily be addressed by the Author, there are no significant editorial issues that detracted from the overall enjoyment of the story.

I enjoyed The Naked Man, the ending leaving the reader automatically reaching for the second book in the series, ‘The Killing Kind.’ I award 4 stars.
