Short Horror Stories Volume 2 By Author P. J. Blakey-Novis – Book Review

I really enjoyed reading this second collection of Horror Stories by Author P. J. Blakey Novis, and exploring his various themes as he takes readers on a journey of terror and suspense. The stories are all well constructed and credible, some subtle in their delivery and impact, whilst others bring that sense of dread and foreboding that creeps along your skin and down your spine.

My favourites amongst his collection are, Teenage Kicks, Trailer Trashed, and Deep Breaths, although in all honesty I liked them all. Each plot moves forward at a fast pace, keeping the reader engaged and turning the pages. The endings of each story I felt were satisfactory and I was quite content to proceed to the next story. The cast of characters are again sufficiently developed and believable (no obvious cheese!) and the dialogue relevant. There are some minor editorial issues that need attention but they in no way detract from the readers enjoyment. Another great collection for Horror fans and well worth a read.

I award 4 stars
