Offerings to Selene takes the reader on a magical journey of lunar splendor. Through illustrative poetic storytelling, Sophie Jupillat Posey masterfully paints the moon in all of her vibrant facets: the nurturer, the sacred one, the seeker of vengeance, the beaming entity that reigns supreme over Earth and all of her dwellers… However, this celestial voyage goes beyond Lady Selene herself; it is also a transformative trek into the psyche. Within its luminous pages, this chapbook urges each reader to commune with the moon on a soul level.

Offerings to Selene By Author Sophie Jupillat Posey – Book Review

Offerings to Selene is a superbly written chapbook of poetry and illustrations that takes the reader on a journey through the magical and mystical phases of the moon. Sophie uses illustrative, poetic storytelling to evoke strong emotions, calling on the reader to open their soul to the moon, thus allowing the moon to speak to them.
The moon is the personified main character in this story, and we are given a glimpse of all her facets of life as she reigns over the earth’s night, calling her children to gaze on her and go through their own transformational journeys. This is a quick read, but deserves more time to really absorb the message into the soul. I award this book 5 stars.
