“The blade cut into her flesh from throat to belly. They were slicing her open.”
M.M. Shelley writes a hit vampire story, Of Serpents and Wolves. The story delves deep into the darkness of the vampire, with an extra bite: wolves.
Combining imagery, both beautiful and horrific, the story will not disappoint fans of Horror fiction. I winced when I read this, a scene I considered quite dark:
“My brother was worked to death, and there was nothing I could do to protect him. They didn’t bury him after he died, simply rolled him down a hill, and left his body for the dogs to feast on.”
I enjoyed Of Serpents and Wolves and award it 4 stars.
