Me, Myself and Men is an apt title for this memoir of an unlucky-in-love woman as progresses into adulthood. While I agree that it gives life lessons to every woman out there, and love does indeed make you blind, I’m not so sure I’d recommend this book to everyone. It needs a mature readership to benefit from the wisdom that Sharon dishes out during this volume. I did want a happy ending for her, and I hope that she does have a decent man sent her way after all the crap she has been through. It is true that we learn from our mistakes and that is how we progress through life.
I’d cut down the section of Sharon’s life in her 30s that is given to the reader – this is a very lengthy section – and I hate to sound like a broken record, but it does need editing throughout the book, especially concentrating on this 30s section. Simple errors and typos ruin it. Sharon wrote her book ‘Issues’ before this one, and it was based on what happened to her (with a sprinkling of artistic licence) so it did tamper down the shock factor when I read the same things in this book. I have to give it a 3 star rating.
