Lily of Lumley Castle By Author Heather C. Page – Book Review

Lily of Lumley Castle is the first book in the Copperheart Legacy by Author Heather Page and a well written and engaging novel blending the genres of historical fiction, fantasy and the supernatural together. If you are a fan of Author Barbara Erskine you will definitely enjoy this work of fiction with its similarities and writing style as it moves between events in the past and events in the present and entwines the two. Lily Lumley, the Lady of Lumley Castle Hall, who is believed to have been murdered by two priests for refusing to follow the catholic faith, has set events in motion from beyond the grave, that lead Alice, an aspiring paranormal investigator and her Assistant Sebastien from the present day to make some exciting discoveries. These discoveries steer Alice and Sebastien into make a life changing decision, and as they uncover a deeper connection to Lily, the pair soon realise that the past is far from finished and there is more work for them to do.

I really enjoyed this story and plot, which moves between the three main protagonists and develops at an exciting pace. There are plenty of twist and turns along the way to keep readers engaged and eagerly delving though the pages. All the characters are extremely likeable and credible, with dialogue that is appropriate for the differing periods of time. There are no significant editorial issues to distract the reader from the story.

As the first book and introduction to the series, Lily of Lumley Castle, definitely delivers the promise of an exciting series with more drama and spooky goings on to come.

I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series and award 5 stars.
