This book will appeal to confident readers of mid primary age range who should be encouraged to a more fluent reading style by the lyrical and rhyming story. Younger children will love the engaging pictures and Ollie’s adventurous yet caring nature as they are read to by parents/teachers. The illustrations are bright and bold, and kids will love all the cool information about Australia throughout the story, with the added bonus of more fun facts at the end of the book. Before and after the main story the author has provided, in verse, some unusual tree and plant details that I’m certain kids will love. The inside cover, of itself, is lovely. This book, and others in the series, would sit well on any school book shelf. I award 4 stars.
