Innocent to the Last (Book 6) By Author C. A. Asbrey – Book Review

Chasing the mysterious man behind baby Ava’s death, her parents Nat and Abigail, and Jake, are determined to bring her killer to justice. Newspaper woman Rebecca is investigating the same criminals, bringing complications to their plans.

Striking a reluctant deal with Nat and Jake’s former gang, The Innocents, they lure the hired killers on their trail to their old hideout, Ghost Canyon. If Jake survives, will he be able to find peace and love at last?
Can Nat and Abi safely deliver retribution for the death of their young daughter, before moving on with their lives?
A story full of twists and turns, author Aubrey has done it again with her sixth book of The Innocents series. A riveting page turner, we are rooting for Jake to find the love that his nephew has, and for the trio to settle down to normal life.  Such great dialogue between the characters, I particularly enjoyed how the gang reacted to meeting up with Nat and Jake again. Again some editorial issues that the author can easily fix. The big jump at the end makes me think that the author could have written a seventh book instead, but what will be will be. I award 4 stars.
