Although I’m not someone who follows an organised religion, I respect the messages of positivity, confidence and faith that Leticia expresses in this delightful children’s book. The illustrations are lovely and colourful and I believe it would be an attractive gift for children who want to learn more about believing in themselves and God. The story focuses on what children can achieve if they have faith in God. Whilst I respect this viewpoint as a Christian myself, I don’t feel like it makes people invincible, which the book seems to suggest at times. (Book Tour Reviewer Christine Pollard)
I Am Who I Am Because My Daddy Is The Great I Am’, is a heartwarming religious children’s book that beautifully captures the essence of self-acceptance, confidence, and joy in the context of faith. Written with a gentle touch by an author whose love for God shines through the pages, the delightful tale introduces young readers to the inspiring character Princess Jayelle, a little girl whose unwavering belief in Jesus shapes her entire worldview. She embraces her identity and purpose with unshakable conviction. Through her eyes, children are encouraged to see themselves as beloved children of God, with the assurance that their worth and significance are rooted in their relationship with him. The simple and relatable storytelling by the author helps to demonstrate how a strong spiritual foundation can empower children to face life’s challenges with courage and resilience. The illustrations featured in the story are enchanting, complementing the story perfectly. Each page is filled with vibrant colours and charming details that captivate the imagination of young readers, further enhancing the book’s ability to connect with its target audience. This religious children’s book accomplishes its mission of encouraging self-acceptance, confidence, and joy in a faith-based context admirably. (Book Tour Reviewer Bronwyn McKay)
The book is colourful, eye-catching and well-presented. It is easily read and the message behind the script is a powerful one. However, it appears to spring from a certain way of expressing understanding of God and although it may appeal to the people of a particular belief and culture, I am not sure how much attraction it will have to the wider public. I think it may appeal to Sunday school type classes where, especially with the companion book, an adult can guide a child through the reflections. (Book Tour Reviewer Edna Hunneysett)
I Am Who I Am Because My Daddy Is The Great I Am is a picture book intended to provide children with confidence based on faith. The illustrations by Ambadi Kumar help to tell the story. I think that it’s a very good message about empowerment, but I did feel that, while the book seems to be aimed at very young children, some elements of the text (especially quotes from the Bible) may require explanation from an older reader. This is a well written and informative book for children, that could help to increase their self esteem. The drawings are colourful and full of joy and brought a smile to my face. (Book Tour Reviewer Eileen Tilley)
This charming and beautifully illustrated children’s story may not appeal to everyone outside of the Christian religion, but regardless of your faith or traditions, contained within its pages are powerful messages of positivity that we all aspire to, no matter what path we follow or whether young or old.
