Hickory Cove By Author MacKenzie Bishop – Book Review

It’s 17-year-old Bailey Walker’s first day at the school he’s just been transferred to. In his old school, he was known as a troublemaker. But he’s not.

He’s known as a jock because he plays sports. He’s a lot more than that.

No one knows the real Bailey. No one except his adoptive parents who accept him for who he is. Bailey’s creative. He draws and paints. He writes poetry and songs. But all this is going to change because on his first day at his new school, he meets the beautiful and mysterious Avery. Who is she? Why don’t any of the other students have anything to do with her? Little does he know that his life will change forever ….
Hickory Cove is an account of Bailey’s school year. It’s so well written and engaging that I hated
to see the story end! The characters are well developed and seem real, and the reader is pulled into the
story from the very first page. I truly hope we see a sequel to Hickory Cove. An entertaining and well edited read. I award 5 stars.
