Harmony Dances On By Author Mandy Woolf – Book Review

This book tells the beautiful, touching story of Harmony: a little girl who’s lost her mom due to an incurable illness. The story takes us through Harmony’s life and new routine. One really feels for Harmony as situations trigger her grief and she mourns as best she can. The author does a great job through dialogue with the adults in Harmony’s life, in helping Harmony and the reader figure out coping methods to deal with grief. The worksheets at the end of the book also help with this. The story is approachable for a child, and can even help parents better explain grief and how to deal with it. The pacing gently takes the reader through Harmony’s gradual healing process.

I award this book 5 stars.
