Another twisted tale from writer Lee Wilder, this one delivers a modern take on our favourite story of The Three Bears.
This time, it’s a young Pangolin called Goldiscales who dares to venture into the home of the three honey badgers to eat their food and break their possessions! The text was instantly recognisable as the story of the three bears so younger readers will easily be able to relate to, and understand, the goings on all while having a totally new experience. This would be a brilliant book for the classroom to inspire children to see stories in different ways.
More mesmerising images fill the pages to captivate the reader and there are more useful nuggets of information tucked away at the back of the book – especially useful given that most people probably won’t have heard of a pangolin or a honey badger!
Reviewed on behalf of the author by The Book Dragon, we think this classically modern tale deserves 5 stars.
