Freedom Rising is the third and final book in the Fraser Chronicles and brings the story to a natural and satisfying conclusion.
This story focuses on the urgency Jo feels in finding any of the younger children who had also been experimented on, particularly Amy, the young girl who he had met at the clinic. Knowing how difficult it was for him to transition, he desperately wants to be there for her. However, he has to find out where she is first.
The search leads them to an old abandoned manor house which has been repurposed for Dr Steiner’s evil plan. Funded by the leader of the Columbian Drug Cartel, Steiner believes he is closer to success, not realising he’s already done it, in the form of Jo.
However, Jo is not about to surrender to him, and sets out to ensure Amy’s safety, expecting his friends to abandon him to his fate.
The thrilling conclusion will have young readers on the edge of their seats as they devour the final
pages. I award this book 5 stars.
