A beautifully produced hard cover book designed to withstand the eager fingers of younger readers.
The illustrations are bright and colourful, and the characters well defined and easy to recognise. Busy Bee is a cute little creature with lovely facial expressions that should delight children. The font is large and bold and the story, detailing Busy Bee’s day collecting nectar and making honey, is told with simplicity so that younger readers are encouraged to learn more.
I loved the repetition, designed to encourage recognition of letters and words, and giving beginner readers confidence to try for themselves.
A great first book for beginners, or nervous readers. Recommended. I award 5 stars.
