This book is a fun riff on the classic Christmas song “12 days of Christmas”. This story focuses on the narrator’s grandad providing toys and memories during these 12 days of Christmas. The prose is light-hearted and fun to read. The adaptations based on the scenarios of the original story are creative. Grandad is a very likeable character and so is the rest of his family. The fact that the author had children get involved with the illustration and judging process is a plus. The story is unique and funny.
