The Bone Master (Book 2 The Sands of Achten Tan series) By Author Debbie Iancu-Haddad – Book Review

The Bone Master is a continuation of the Achten Tan series but this time from Kaii’s point of view. The world building and the fantastical animals are great, and the author has really upped their game with this second telling. The addition of pirates was excellent. The pace is tight with the dangers starting thick and fast and the characters develop well. The pirates are good anti-heroes. There are however a lot of changing point of views and although each chapter was labelled, I did get confused at times. Readers should also be advised that there are a lot of references to explicit adult themes which I did skip over as I am not a huge fan of that type of genre but that is not say that other readers will not enjoy or be adverse to. There are also some potential triggers with references to rape and prostitution within the text.

Overall a good read and follow up to the first book ‘Speechless in Achten Tan,’ and therefore I award 4 stars.
