I am going to start this review by stating that I have not fully read, ‘Change Your Life.’
‘Then why are you writing this review?’ I hear you ask.
I know, it’s rather an odd comment for a reviewer to make, right? But let me explain further…
This wonderfully written and informative book which introduces contemporary shamanism to the reader, is first and foremost a companion.
It is a companion to anyone who is seeking answers to questions unknown, or who is on the cusp of a major change or transformation and unsure of the next steps. It is a companion to all those who feel less than comfortable in their own skin but don’t know why, who seek more in their lives or feel something is missing but do not know what. Those who long for a deeper connection or are simply at loss to explain why they suddenly feel restless and are no longer satisfied.
Therefore for me or any reader to just merrily skip on by through the pages without truly taking the time to experience what lies within the pages would be a huge disservice. And I say this not only in reference to the Author who has given their time and energy in sharing these practices, their thoughts and experiences with others, but to the reader in not being able to truly appreciate them.
Anyone who is drawn to picking up this book or even to reading the words of my review has been drawn for a specific reason and this is the purpose of my review. To draw your attention to that fact, give you pause for thought and to encourage you to reach for your own copy of this book as I have done.
It is not written in scientific or confusing jargon, but expressed in a way that readers can easily relate to and understand.
Nor at the opposite end of the spectrum does it offer a magic wand or an instantaneous solution, as it very much places the emphasis on the individual reader, and their own unique and personal journey to achieving growth and establishing a true connection to their inner and outer worlds. These teachings cannot be rushed, they require practice, time, attention and trust.
For me as the reader reviewing ‘Change Your Life’ let me say that this has come at exactly the right moment in time. And whilst I have not completed this book, the authors words, explanations, and opening exercises have resonated deeply enough for me to know that I need this wonderful companion in my life, and that I have a genuine desire to learn and practice more.
I therefore hope that these words are enough for you to consider and listen to that inner voice. Let it guide you as to whether you are ready to receive and ‘change your life,’ not specifically on a physical level, but on an emotional, spiritual and mental level that we often neglect.
I cannot award less than 5 stars and those who are starting this introductory journey with me, will understand why.
