Cover Blurb:

On the threshold of the 20th Century, Melkon Jenanyan sits alone in a room in the heart of Philadelphia. An intense and stubborn Christian Minister, and the one who must secure their family legacy, he has to decide. Will he further complicate his strained marriage by returning to the heart of the Ottoman Empire—as a targeted Christian minority in a Muslim land? The crux of his life’s meaning hangs in the balance as he struggles to choose between family or his life’s work, peace or a potential war zone.

Reclaiming Konia By Author Heather Martin – Book Review

Reclaiming Konia was not at all the story I thought it would be, it perhaps needs a subtitle to show it as such. Alas, it also needs further editorial work which can so easily be done by the author. It is a book I would highly recommend, once polished, as the tale of a real family’s struggle through the Armenian Genocide is something that should be known widely. Heather’s relations are those who feature in this book, and her writing does bring the reader into Melkon’s world very vividly. Her mission to bring this tragedy to people’s attention is an ambitious one. I wish her well.

I award 3 stars.
