What happens when you get lost? Something we all fear but inevitably will end up facing in some context. This picture book uses friendly characters to deliver an important message to children.
Nani is a little rabbit excitedly buying a picnic when she gets lost in a supermarket. Uh oh! The book considers how both she and her friends feel in the situation as well as giving advice to children who find themselves in a similar situation. Although well-written, the book is a bit lacking in the engagement factor and there does seem to be several irrelevant details included that draw from the main plot line. However, the main message is clearly driven home in the latter part of the book, and makes for a more intriguing read.
The images used in the book are digital artwork which won’t appeal to every reader but they’re certainly unique to look at and do a good job of illustrating the events of the story.
