Red Rock Road By Author Tara Drouin – Book Review

A gorgeous song that will get stuck in any child’s head, Red Rock Road paints a picture of an idyllic family home.

The book tells of all the wonderful things the family get up to at their grandparents’ home on a mountain (on Red Rock Road, hence the title) and you find yourself wishing you could be with them, lighting fires and swimming and playing in the lovely countryside.

On the front cover is a website to download the song for free so you can actually sing along using the book, and it’s a fantastic little melody that will hook you right in. The rhythm of the book is quite obvious and even without the background music, you find yourself singing the story in a rhythmic way. The illustrations are also of a good quality and accompany the story well.

A lovely little song book to cheer you up, The Book Dragon reviewed this on behalf of the author and awards it 5 stars.
