Landsend Plateau (Immortality & Chaos Book Two) by Author Eric T. Knight – Book Review

“An intriguing imaginative adventure ready to implode!”

A coming-of-age epic story out to follow your instincts, this book is fast-paced as readers will never know what will happen next. The first section of the book introduces you to Shakre, Netra’s mother, who lives among the people of an ancient tribe Takare, once powerful and invincible warriors who swore never to kill another human — but will they break the oath and kill again in the face of a merciless enemy?

We also accompany Netra on her journey; her instincts – or perhaps destiny – lead her to the Landsend Plateau, where her mother lives… Will they ever meet? And what will she truly be capable of, given that her powers obviously grow stronger with each use?

The second path begins in Qarath, where Quyloc is still attempting to obtain the weapon that Lowellin desires. Quyloc struggles to find an ancient power to aid Wolfe Rome while remaining human! He’s not sure if he can do it, or if death will be his reward. Wolfe Rome prepares an army for Melekath’s return, and the Tenders acquire mysterious “sulbits,” creatures that feed on LifeSong, which Lowellin claims is their only weapon against the foe.

Another fantastical adventure by a master storyteller whose fictional ideas put readers at the edge of their seats. However, with verbiage of pages way longer than it should be fortunately doing little to slow down the whirlwind of action in this instalment — for every read, the novel itself is like an intriguing imaginative adventure ready to implode!

I award 4 stars.
