North Run By Author Linda Jones – Book Review

North Run is the first book in the Sarah Allerton Crime Series written by Author Linda Jones. Set in the East Yorkshire area the protagonist, Acting Chief Inspector Sarah Allerton is tested to her limits as she and her team are under pressure to find a missing teenager.

Fans of JD Robb’s In Death series will love the character of Sarah Allerton. Like Eve Dallas, Sarah Allerton is a strong, feisty, and resourceful female lead with a traumatic past, and a partner, who whilst not as charismatic as Roarke, keeps her grounded throughout the horrors of the job.

The plot moves at a great pace, keeping the reader engaged with plenty of action, drama, twists and turns, as the missing teenager case proves to be anything but straight forward. The secondary characters are extremely relatable and the dialogue credible. The Antagonist is a great character! I won’t go into detail to avoid giving any spoilers away. There are no editing issues that would distract a reader from their enjoyment of this story. North Run truly ticks all the boxes of a great read!

I am awarding a well deserved 5 stars and I am really looking forward to the next book in the series.
