We all know See you later, Alligator; after a while, Crocodile, but what would other animals say? In this fun activity book, children will laugh at the rhyming conversations and delight at the amusing illustrations, then try their hand at coloring and creating rhymes and drawings of their own. Let’s Play See You Later, Alligator: An Activity Book for Rhyming, Colouring and Drawing By Author Irene Wittig – Book Review

A well-produced activity book that will appeal to early readers who also like to colour and draw. With clear, easy to read font, and bright, colourful illustrations, children will be encouraged to participate both in the reading and the suggested activities. I did find one or two of the rhyming couplets a little distracting, ie ‘whirl’ to pair with ‘squirrel’. I’m certain it must be a pronunciation issue that doesn’t translate well from the US into English. Also the price is a little high for an ‘activity’ book and for pocket money budgets. Those issues apart, this book ticks all other boxes, and leaves pages blank at the rear to encourage free drawing/colouring as the child becomes more confident. A nice gift, or one to keep in the cupboard for when the grandchildren visit. I award 3 stars.
