If You went to Asia, wouldn't you want to travel by Dragon? Jolly Ollie is back in his third adventure, and as he tumbles and stumbles his way across a new continent he clutches a message in a bottle. What can hermit crabs and Hong Kong possibly have in common? Although written for 3-7 year olds, the enchanting rhyming story is perfect for anyone who dreams of travelling the world. 'Olli's so colourful. I would love to fly with him!' Sienna, aged 6.

Jolly Ollie and his Asian Odyssey: 3 (Jolly Ollie Octopus) By Author Jane Thomas – Book Review

Younger children who will love the bright and engaging pictures as they are read to by parents/teachers, but more confident readers of mid primary age range will also be encouraged to a more fluent reading style by the lyrical and rhyming story. The illustrations are bright and bold, and kids will love all the cool facts about Ollie and the different colours he adopts as the scenery changes.
Lots of interesting facts about Asia are given throughout the story, and at the end of the book, as well as a short poetic tale about hermit crabs before the main ‘Ollie’ event. I loved the cylindrical section of writing as the dragon took flight. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable book that progresses Ollie’s travels in an educational and enjoyable way. This book, and others in the series, would sit well on any school
book shelf. I award 4 stars.
