A compendium of tale and verse, Neon Crucifix is a collection of horror stories and shorter, more poetic ruminations on the nature of darkness and the macabre. Witness ghosts, demons, A.I, time travel and more in this dark and bizarre collection. With shocking twists and dark revelations alongside other, more poignant and thought-provoking entries, Neon Crucifix is undoubtedly the most ambitious horror collection the author has created to date.

Neon Crucifix: A Horror Collection By Author Christopher Joyce – Book Review

This is a series of small stories with poetry interspersed all in the horror genre. Chris really does well in bringing suspense and the macabre to life in this punchy collection.

Characters are well integrated from the outset of each story. From the cranky Calvin in Calling to the strangely obsessed Walter and his collections.

For a quick and enjoyable read, especially for fans of the genre, this will have you jumping from story to story and not wanting to put the book down. Poetry is not a style of writing I take to – just personal choice – but here it does help to keep the sense of foreboding thrumming and seems to work.

This book gets a good 4 star review.
