I’m going to start this review by warning that this book is not for the faint-heated. There are scenes of extreme torture, sexual assault and demonology described. If you are someone who is sensitive to such things, then I would advise you to step away and select one of this talented author’s other series, which we also stock in store. If there’s no alarm bells ringing for you, then I’d recommend you read on.
Kyla Marshall is a woman with demons in her past that are having a detrimental effect on her present. After enduring horrific physical and emotional trauma as a teen, she has been left with scars on both the inside and outside. Trying to cope with her day to day existence as best she can, her world is turned upside down when she encounters two demon brothers in their human form, on their annual three month vacation to Earth.
Sexy, funny and thrilling, this book had me gripped from the start. C.J. excels at creating page turners that pull you in and have you desperate to find out what destiny has in store for her characters. As the story unfolds, supernatural secrets are revealed and Kyla gets the opportunity for the revenge that she’s been seeking for years.
If you like your fiction sinful, steamy, and tinged with mystery and mayhem, then look no further than this racy read. I for one can’t wait to see what happens in the second book in the series when it’s released. I have no hesitation in rewarding Demons & Damnation 5 Stars.
