Will O’Toole’s ‘Zooverbs’ doesn’t have a suggested age range, and it is difficult to ‘fit’ into the usual criteria for reviewing children’s books. Using the ratings, it comes out lower than it really should.
Language complexity is kept simple with excellent colourful illustrations provide visual engagement throughout. I believe this book will encourage reading, inspire creativity and support learning. I’d recommend this book, either to read alone so as to help develop skills, or as a bedtime read. Parents can use each illustration as a discussion point.
