Description

Cath is from Sunderland all has lived there all her life in spite of having a few different diverse jobs in various other parts of the North East of England. She gave up a job in finance 10 years ago and now has a part-time job as a bra fitter, a part-time teaching assistant for children with special educational needs and has a pet portrait business. Bird-watching and drawing them was her biggest joy until pangolins came along, now she’s passionate about pangolin conservation. Cath also enjoys upcycling jewellery and runs craft classes instructing students how to make their own jewellery. Her favourite children’s author and illustrator is Beatrix Potter and more recently Julia Donaldson with Axel Scheffler and Catherine Rayner. Cath grew up with E Nesbitt and her favourite book of all time has to be The Kissing Gate by Pamela Haines. She love’s children’s animations and is currently in love with Paddington and Wallace & Gromit in equal measure. 
At home she lives with her husband, 2 grownup children and an adopted stray cat named Cilla who rules the household.
Cath Wren is a pen name and was taken from a character in an original children’s story written during ‘lock down’ and not yet published as she will no doubt rewrite it another 20 times.
